Premier Inn, Peascod Street, Windsor
Censeo Consulting prepared the tender for this circa £18m, 116 Bedroom Premier Inn hotel development in the centre of Windsor.
The scheme comprised the redevelopment of the existing site to create a mixed-use development, maintaining the existing retail frontage (formerly “Boots”) onto Peascod Street, with a proposed new build hotel facility to the rear comprising 116 bedrooms.
The Works comprise strip out of existing vacant retail space and partial demolition of the existing three storey section to the rear.
A new three storey extension to the rear is to be constructed, consisting of piled foundations, a concrete and lightweight proprietary steel framed structure, flat roof structure with attenuation provisions, facing brick/rainscreen cladding to the façade with aluminium curtain walling, doors and windows.
Building services and internal fit out of the hotel facility will be in accordance with the Premier Inn Brand Standards.
The project was procured under a JCT standard building contract with quantities with an 87 week contract period and comprised a gross internal floor area of 4,380m2.
